Data Literacy Assessments

Data literacy is becoming more and more of a non-negotiable skill in today’s world. In order to measure progress, you need a benchmark for where you started. Assessments are a critical part of any training program or culture change initiative. Geared towards both teams and individuals, our assessments have been used by Fortune 500 companies, government agencies and nonprofits alike. We offer both subjective and objective assessments, which we can administer or provide for you to administer yourself.

Objective Assessments: How much does a person know about data?

Objective assessments are used to evaluate one’s knowledge and skills in a particular subject. That means the questions have right and wrong answers. Wherever you are on your data literacy journey, our objective assessments will provide a benchmark so you can measure your progress as you become more data literate. Each assessment is timed. You have 30 minutes to complete 25 questions. If you score 80% or higher, you’ll be awarded the respective badge!

Passing the Data Citizen Assessment proves that you’ve mastered the foundational aspects of data literacy: what is data, how is it used by teams, what are some different ways to display your data? We cover these topics in our Data Literacy Fundamentals on-demand course: Understanding the Power & Value of Data.

A Data Citizen knows what questions to ask of their data upfront. They understand the one overall goal of data and the activities a team must carry out to transform data into wisdom.
