15 multiple-choice questions with one right answer each. The report compares how people rate the team with what they can demonstrate.

Honest answers, because they're anonymous

People tell the truth about their team when they know it can't be traced back to them.

No individual results

The report shows group figures only. No one's answers are ever shown on their own.

Five-person minimum

By default, any group smaller than five is combined with others or left out, so a small team can't be singled out.

No sign-in

Respondents use one shared link and never create an account or give their name.

Measure before and after training

Run a baseline, train your teams with our workshops and courses, then run it again. The follow-up report shows what changed, factor by factor.

Questions about the Data Literacy Score

What does the Data Literacy Score measure?

Your team's own view of how well it works with data, scored from 0 to 500 across seven factors: Purpose, Ethics, Data, Technology, People, Process and Culture. An optional knowledge check adds 15 multiple-choice questions, so you can compare how people rate the team with what they demonstrate.

How do we compare with other organizations?

Your report places your score against thousands of past respondents to the Data Literacy Score, as a percentile and as a rank among past teams. Past organizations are never named; they appear only as anonymous comparisons.

How long does it take each person?

About 10 minutes for the rating statements alone, and about 20 minutes with every section switched on. It works on a phone, and progress is saved on the device, so people can stop and come back.

Are responses anonymous?

Yes. Respondents use one shared link and never sign in, and the report never shows an individual's answers. Results are shown only for groups of at least five people by default. Smaller groups are combined with others, or a breakdown is left out when even that could let someone work out a small group's answers.

Can we see results by department, role or region?

Yes. You can add up to five short questions of your own, such as team, role, region or tenure, and the report breaks results down by each one, subject to the same minimum group size.

Can we measure progress over time?

Yes. Run the Data Literacy Score before a training program and again afterwards, and the report shows the change in the overall score, every factor and the statements that moved most.

What do we receive?

A leadership report you can share as a PDF, plus a CSV of every figure in it. You can add an expert review, where Ben Jones and the Data Literacy team read your results and write tailored recommendations.

How is it priced?

One price for the whole team, by the number of people taking it: $1,000 for up to 25, $2,000 for up to 100, $4,000 for up to 500, $7,500 for up to 1,000. Expert review is an optional add-on, from $3,000. You can buy online by card, and above 1,000 people, or to pay by invoice, ACH or wire, request a quote.

What happens after I buy?

You set it up from your account: give it a name, add any team or role questions you want results broken down by, and choose how long it stays open. Then you share the link we give you, along with a ready-made invitation, and watch responses come in. When it closes, your report is ready on the same page, or, with expert review, as soon as we've added our recommendations.
