Data Literacy Level 1 – How to Read and Interpret Data Visualizations – will run for 5 weeks from Sept 30th through Oct 28th, with live & virtual class sessions held each Monday from 3pm to 6pm PDT.
Data Literacy Level 2 – How to Explore and Communicate Data – will run for 5 weeks, starting on Nov 4th and ending on Dec 2nd, with online class sessions held in the same Mon 3-6pm PDT time slot. A $50 early bird pricing discount is in effect through Oct 4th, so register soon!

Q: Who are these classes for? The Level 1 course is for anyone who wants to get better at understanding data presented to them in visual form. This is a great class for anyone who feels that they are presented with charts, graphs, maps and dashboards on a regular basis, but they often feel confused and don’t know what questions to ask. The Level 2 course is for anyone who is starting to get their hands on raw data in the form of Excel spreadsheets, csv text files, databases, and cloud sources, and wants to get better at discovering insights in that data and presenting to their coworkers.
Q: Do I need to take the Level 1 course before I take the Level 2 course? No, not necessarily. The courses are complementary but Level 1 is not a prerequisite for Level 2. If you feel confident reading and interpreting data visuals and dashboards but you want to get better at exploring data yourself, then you might want to start with Level 2.
Q: How much do the courses cost? Both courses cost $500 per person. Early bird pricing for Level 1 is in effect through Sept 16th, and for Level 2 it’s in effect through Oct 4th. Registrants who sign up before then will be able to do so at the reduced rate of $450.
